: The best serious adventure games out are the 'Gabriel Knight' series which do focus on the occult as with Indy. LucasArt's best seroous game is 'The Dig', a thorughly underated game which I consider to be one of the best charcter interaction pieces of all time. There are no other decent Indy games (except possilby the Last Crusade adventure). If you're desperate for Indy, 'Indiana Jone and his Desktop Adventures' provides literally minutes of fun, exciting play.

The "Monkey Island" games from LucasArts were a blast too.
There's a third game coming out using full animation but
the first two were very much like "Fate of Atlantis" and
were the funniest games I've ever played.
