For me, I thought Last Crusade was a let down. I really feel like they revealed too much about Indy. I sorta liked the mystery about him. I guess I would rate them in the order they wee released. Raiders is the best, TOD, next, and finally Last Crusade. please don't flame me for saying Last Crusade last. It was an excellent movie. I like them all. But I stand by my rating. after all, it's only my opinion.
: Come on, now. The Temple of Doom (while still a fine movie) is probably the film that I liked the least of the trilogy. I thought that with Temple of Doom, Spielberg took a step towards The Goonies, which was another fine film, but not the direction that I wanted Indiana Jones to go. As for thebest, even though the Last Crusade brought Indy back on track, it never accomplished the height that was reached with Raiders of the Lost Ark. The character of Indiana Jones, I feel, should be somewhere in between the "fortune and glory" mercenary in Temple of Doom, and the "that belongs in a museum" boy scout of Last Crusade. Like in Raiders of the Lost Ark. In my opinion, the best of the 3.
