: : : Yep! It just arrived, and OH, MY GAWD! What a work of art!
: : : The deerskin is ultra soft, and it kinda smells like I fell asleep on on of those expensive leather couches in the showroom - the ones where my wife always says "Get you feet down!"
: : : Anyway - I'm in heaven. It will be a battle between this and the roo skin US Wings every morning on the way out the door.
: : : Cheers!

: : any info on different leathers with respect to the dye? I oly got my Wested in Febuary and already I'm bleeding dye in a couple of places (top edges of the bi-swing, one or 2 seams, a couple spots on the back) I also managed to put a pretty deep scratch in the arm just opening the fence in front of the driveway. I'm obsessive about keeping things looking new as long as possible ( I know that's contrary to the Indy philosophy, so shoot me :) ) I'm sure deerskin or goat would fix that problem, but I was wondering about the dye...
: : Thanks,

: Give Dave Marshall a call about the dye process. I've not seen "bleeding" even on the cheapest leathers, so I'd refer you to the expert!

bleeding probably isn't the right term. I don't see dye on the back of my chair when I get up or anything :) ... I'm losing dye...natural color of skin showing up in very small places, mostly on edges but a couple specs in the middle of the back. (like I said, I'm obsessive about newness). The durability issue alone makes me think I should get a goat or deerskin. I don't fault Wested in the least. I know this is a factor of lambskin (which is awesome leather). I just think I need more of daily-wearer...I guess I'm just trying to convince myself to get a FS..what do you think? :) hehe...
Regards (and thanks),
