: I've noticed that you can use images in posts, and some of the stories contain title images (i.e. 'Indiana Jones and the...'). Is this done by using the tag?

Yes, that's how we place all pictures.

: Also, is it illegal to use the actual Indy logo for these images? (most of the title images seem to use the 'Adventure' font, which looks slightly but noticeably different)

No I don't think it's illegal as long as you don't use it for profit of any kind.
Different people have used different methods to make thier titles for their stories. One of which is to make your own using the adventure font which does lack a little when compared to the actual logo. I am the one who made the titles for the Golden Spider and IndyFan Forum stories. I used a logo I got from a scanned page of the Star Wars insider. It has been the nicest scanning of the logo I have ever seen, but I'm not sure it's competely true to the real thing. I then used the adventure subtitles font to make the subtitles.

Hope this helps,
