: : I know this is well-worn territory around here, but I had this thought. With Lucas coming out with a new Star Wars trilogy featuring different actors as familiar characters (Ewan MacGregor as Obi Wan, for example), why not do the same with Indy? Why not have a new trilogy of movies with Indy as a younger man adventuring in the 1920's? You know, "Indiana Jones: Episode One." Just a thought in case George and Steven happen to wander by...

: Not a bad thought, but Lucas already did it with the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (the short lived series). Now if the books were used to make the movies, that's a different matter or better yet what happens next in Indy's life. You guys remember the YIJC? It showed his children and grandchildren. Aren't you curious what kind of woman he married?

: My two cents,

Oh, I remember YIJC very well! Never missed an episode. I guess what I was suggesting was more along the lines of turning the novels into movies, or at least dealing with the same time period. Honestly, I haven't read that many of the novels, with Peril at Delphi being the only one of the early ones. So my next question to all is this: which novel would make the best movie?
