Withdrawal of Indy videos.... could this be the reason...?

Ok, another unavoidable Star Wars reference...

When the Star Wars movies were withdrawn, "available for the last time ever..", etc.., it was intended that those versions would never be available and that the Special Edition versions would be the definitive print.

Is it just possible this could be the same reason for withdrawal of the Indy movies? They can't not issue them only on DVD when it happens so therefore why delete the video tape versions?

Any thoughts anyone?
