Now I'm not one of these physco religious people but the religious aspects of the Indiana Jones films should be kept in the script for the next flic! I'm sure that Lucas and Speilberg know what they are doing though!!

Also, in Temple of Doom, Mola Ram said that the Thuggee cult would take over the entire Christian world or something to that effect. I suppose it could be said that God is leading Indy to these places in order to stop evil. Heh... interesting point you've brought up! I'm sure Lucas and Speilberg realize this too.
