True, if they really had the Ark, why isn't Ethiopia a more prominent country?

"This is the cup of the King of Kings", which did look rather nice, but the reality (at least in Indy's world) was a very simple carpenter's cup.

Perhaps all the legends about making an Army invincible is mythology after all. Maybe (of the TV Specials' theory) it is true after all that the Ark is just a giant capacitor for storing static electricity like a Leyden Jar. A wooden box covered with gold could function this way. If this were true the Ethiopians may hide it to keep people from being disappointed as you say. In my opinion it shouldn't be kept secret. It needs to be studied by some "top men", as they say.
