The four colored covers definately came out at the same time. I remember pondering which one to buy (I got the red one). I got it either right after the movie opened or right before, I don't remember which. I almost went back and bought one copy in each color but back in those days I didn't have a job and only had my allowance so I decided to spend the money on other things like the poster and the screenplay and more viewings of the movie.

Over the years I've only collected multiple copies of one book- "Gone With the Wind" 5 copies and counting. I've still got my old copy of "Raiders" which I've read 10 times over the years and it still looks almost like new.
