"Raiders"

1) If you want to visit the location where they shot the "Tanis" dig scenes (scenes where the Nazi's and Indy dug up the Ark...Here are directions:

First...Go to Tunisia (Easier said than done). In Tunisia, go to the town of Tozeur. The cast and crew stayed at the Sahara Palace Hotel in Tozeur. From the Sahara Palace Hotel, go through Tozeur. From there, take the road to Degache (10 km). Approximately 4 kms. after Degache turn right. 2 kms. further, turn left opposite small hut. The location is 3 kms. down this dirt track on left side. The total distance from Tozeur is approximately 20 kms.

At least these are the directions the crew received at the time of the shooting of "Raiders." Don't know if the landmarks still exist (i.e. - Small Hut), but you could probably wing it. Would be cool to visit. I wonder if there are any remains of the set left?
