Oh yes, not even mentioning that the character switches from "It belongs in a museum" mode to "fortune and glory" mode several times through the years... ;-)

Maybe it's all just showing what happens when George Lucas calls the shots without anyone to moderate and build upon his ideas. Think what Young Indy could have been with some input from Spielburg, Kazanjian, Kaufman et al! It'd still be running today!!
