With a 28" screen I would without a question choose the widescreen! I can't stand pan and scan; it's nauseating...

About copyingng the tapes: I would be careful, copyright violation is a serious offense. If you copy a movie for your own use, it should not be a problem. But if you get caught with a copied tape, let's say at an airport or by customs at your local post office, then you better make plans for a longer "vacation"!

If your VCR can play NTSC it should say that on the spec sheet; I have seen this feature advertised. When I went to Germany two years ago I saw a lot of VCRs that could play NTSC tapes.

So, let's just keep hoping for the DVDs! Fall Guy
