I totally agree with you. It doesn't matter if you have every last piece of Indy merchandise, it's his charecter, how he is made that matters. You can wear Indy's clothes, but if you act like a jerk, you really aren't like Indy at all.
By the way, if you're interested, I recently visited some relatives there in P.I and I remember someone saying there's a place about 15 km North or Northwest of Makati City that sells bullwhips. I don't know the address though. Ask around, maybe you'll find something. You may not be able to get a hat, but you might be able to get a whip.
Also, I've seen a few past posts by Indy Anna, that have a link to her webpage. I've forgotten what the address is, but I remember seeing it on one of her posts.
