: : : I just received the clearance A-2 flight jacket offered by them and I have to say that I will definitely buy there Raiders jacket. Very good quality and authenticity. F.S. gets my vote! Also, Peter Bros. is awesome quality. You wont be dissapointed if you order. Just make sure you know what you want.

: The A-2 is the veg-tanned horsehide leather. This is the closest A-2 I have seen to the originals aside from Eastman leathers of England. Except this was almost $300.00 cheaper. If you can afford the $299.00,
: I would pick one up!Take care.

Congratulations. I have heard their veg tanned hide jacket si very nice looking. I think they should offer the new Indy jacket in a dark veg tanned horsehide as I believe that the timing of the Indy movies would have led to Indys jacket being made from horsehide. I don't think butter soft lambskin would have been used for a rugged outdoor jacket in the 30s or 40s. I always thought his jacket has the wear characteristics of a well worn WWII A-2 jacket. It was more than a pilots jacket, it was a second skin worn all the time like Indys jacket. This would be the only way I would get another Indy jacket. By the way that horsehide jacket will wear like iron. If you ever want to put some of the original patches on it I have a guy that hand paints leather patches designed from the originals. Nice jacket.
