I'm at work right now, so I can't check, but I remember Indy loading his pistol when the engine stopped. Despite the fact that he left (at least) his coat and hat in the bedroom, the Nazis announced that there was no sign of him. AND, when Indy gets up onto the sub and waves back at Katanga's ship, he's not carrying his whip, is he?

Hmmm... Dusty confused...
