I came across this one and bounced the pic off our friend Michaelson. This is what he told me:

"...looks like a standard Smith and Wesson Model 10, K-frame, .38 caliber revolver, where the bottom revolver is in the .44-.45 caliber range and is an N-frame Smith. The Model 10 comes with either the "skinny" barrel, as shown..., or a bull barrel, which is about double the thickness. Smith and Wesson outlines are very similar, and it's pretty difficult to tell them apart....actually it would fit just fine [in the Lee Keppler Raiders holster]. Thats what the second hole on the strap is for. The top one will hold a K-frame in place, the bottom hole will allow for the N-frame.

Interesting thing about the Model 10....it was created by Smith and Wesson in 1898 for issue during the Spanish/American war, but the war was over before ever made it to the docks, so they sold them as the Smith and Wesson Military Police model for years. In the late 1930's they changed the trigger travel from a long pull to a shorter pull, and reclassified to the Model 10. During W.W.II it was issued as the "Victory Model" for US Army Air Corp. pilots (that's the revolver you see them wearing in shoulder holsters), then it returned in police dress in the 1950's. There have been well over 5 million produced to date, and it's still going strong. A brand new one runs around $250+, but you can find strong, tight used ones for around $150 anywhere. No problem to find at all."

Man! How does he carry all that around in his head? Anyway, take a gander. The prop gun is sitting around $25, and it has the right look and fills the RotLA holster, and Halloween's a' coming!

Cheers!
