Here's a little trick you may want to try, It worked for me. I found a 7' horse lead at Farm & Fleet. It has a slider buckle on both ends of the lead making it very easy to attach to your MK VII. The one I chose is a little thicker than Indy's and a little lighter in color. The color is nice because it will not rub off on to your clothes and it should darken over time. This thing is also tough, you should be able to suspend yourself from certain tank protrusions with no trouble.
