Something that's always kinda bugged me in LC

After Elsa trys to cross the Seal with the grail and the whole joint starts to fall apart, we see the Grail Knight who has come out from the depths of the temple to see what all the ruckuss is about. He high fives Indy as they all flee leaving the Knight behind to die. Now what I want to know is why that Knight wasn't jumping up and down screaming - "You idiot!! I can't leave you with the grail for 2 minutes without you causing a bunch of $#!% and wrecking my place."

I would've.;-)
