: But, for the record - again - I believe one gets what one pays for, and it seems original has many definitions. I've stated again and again - I've owned three of your jackets, and continue to own a LC predistressed. A very nice jacket for what I paid, and I plan to keep it.

: Let's be completely clear, though. I've had issues with all three jackets, which I’ve brought to your attention. To date I've received no response on the stitching problem which I considered to be serious. Oh well...

: I do continue to give advise to your customers on ordering. I estimate I send between 3 and 4 customers to you each week. Depending upon the expectations they have for their jacket, I give honest feedback from hand's-on experience. I will continue to do this as long as I am asked, and I fully expect to continue sending folks your way as warranted. I have even taken the liberty of blind copying you on some of those emails, and have received no feedback from you that you took any exception to anything I've said.

: I do expect any changes you make to your jackets to leave my advice somewhat dated. I suppose to stay current I ought to place an order sometime soon? Well, at this point I'm not sure you'd take my money and I'm not sure how much I'll really need another jacket.

: Suffice it to say, I'm glad to see you've found a way to incorporate an original detail into the jacket again. I'd heard this would require a complete redesign of the jacket, and that sounded odd since it was in an original?

: Glad to hear from you again – albeit it indirectly.

: Cheers!

: Well, there is a lot that could be said here, but I'll leave it where it is for now.

what exactly was said was:

"by the way, Indy DID have gussets. His were custom crafted from virgin 'roo leather in 24-plait, with a Petersham silk linging (for breathability).
These were high-performance rotary gussets, enabling a double-action, .40 caliber whipcracking speed exceeding less than 12 parsecs."

I just have a few things to say
(A) - For the record, I'm very pleased with my Wested (one of the best $250 I ever spent)

(B) - I think Mr. Botwright took a joke too seriously. Now I can't crawl inside this guy's brain and I won't comment on how funny/unfunny I may find it, but it looks like the poster was poking fun at the subject. What does ".40 caliber whip cracking speed" MEAN, anyway?!?!

(C) - I think what Mr. Botwright also fails to recognize is that the jacket being manufactured from flight suits is new to the arena, and so there is naturally going to be a lot of talk about this jacket ( and comparisons to others like Wested, and yes, even US Wings ) enthusiasm will die down, and eventually we will return to good old "normal" competition between the brands seeking to fill this niche of the market.

(D) - With all due respect to Mr. Botwright, this forum is the IndyFan forum, not the WestedFan forum. On this topic, first of all there seem to still be quite a number of extatic Wested customers on this forum. Just look through for the posts like "I Just Got My Wested!!!!" or similar. I seem to remember seeing some of those recently. Not nearly as many as before the Flight Suits jacket, but that must be expected since that jacket, as I said before is new, and also because it is yet another jacket competing for the customer base, and as such will take away some customers from you and US Wings. The merits ( or detractions ) of the Flight Suits jacket do not change my opinion that yours is a great jacket, but you cannot expect constant unending praise.

I don't think any of us are disappointed with Wested. I can only speak for myself in saying that I am not. It's human nature to always want more, and as such there will always be that "one more thing" to add to the jacket, which of course you stated you would be happy to do.

Regards,
Brian K.
