Hey Mark,
Your forgeting one simple but important point, this character is based heavily on the serial movies of the forties and fifties. I grew up watching these movies. Complicating and exposing the character is just something that shouldn't have been done. I liked Crusade, all I'm saying is that I would have enjoyed a rougher more action intensive film instead of the cerebral plot. I hope you guys are right and the next film gets back to a more 'Raiders' style Indy.
