OK, I'm really scared-I'm about to give my HJ a FULL reshaping, any suggestions?

It's really lost it's shape since I got it in February (i know, that's
not long, but I've been playing with it to achieve the best Raiders
look).

Anyways, I'm going to put it under cold running water to get out
the dust, sweat and previous bash (the current bash has
somewhat of a taper). I have a bottle of Scout felt hat stiffener
and a saucepan of water for steam ready on the stove. I'm
looking to get either a Peruvian temple scene look and/or a Cairo
streets look (minus the dirt).

SO, my question is, before I start working on this $300 hat, do
any of the hat experts here have any additional suggestions
before I screw this thing up?

Please advise before I end up with a shrunken hat and an eyeful
of tears!
