Well, getting back on track. Do you ever wonder what the outcome of Raiders would have been had the situations been reversed... for examples, Indy retrieves the idol and keeps it? Or Marion just gives him the medallion. Or Indy doesn't even get the medallion at all? Would it make his job easier or more difficult?
