I saw this on my first round deerskin with nickel plated zipper. My goatskin with brass zipper lays flat, so it may have to do with the finer teeth of the nickel plated version. Is this what you have on yours? If so, I can only imagine changing it to a brass version would correct the problem. Any other theories? Regards. Michaelson
