Much Ado About Raiders

Since so many fan ideas for an Indy 4 plot tend to include the words "from Raiders", I thought I might as well throw my own fedora into the ring.

What I think they should use from Raiders is this:

I think they should simply aim to make another B movie.

That's it.

Not another film that tries to tie up the series better than LC did.

Nothing that introduces us to Indy's daughter, brother, or successor.

Not one that reuses characters from Raiders or Temple just so that longtime fans can feel all warm inside.

None of that.

I think the biggest holdup to the film is that they are overthinking it and trying to outdo Raiders. Why not just aim to make a fun movie that addresses Indy's age (without it being an issue)...send him on a quest that justifies his going...all the while reminding us that 'anything goes'?
