Wested woes...need help

I want to wear my Wested proudly.
I am one of the many who was duped by the post-Concessionares/pre-modified "original pattern" jackets. I loathe the low straps and even moreso the shoddy, underarm pleat-bulge. What can I do about this? I love the workmanship, the new lambskin finish, the color, the fit, the breaking-in I gave it, etc. I don't want to ditch it like so many other E-bay Wested dumpers only to order the new, "original" design that functions as originally advertised. I love the jacket aside from the two aforementioned complaints. Ideas? Does Peter take previously fabricated jackets back for upgrades? I'd e-mail him, but don't want to bombard him more than he already is by our crowd.
