Jeez!

Even though the removing the guns and the changing of the "You look like a terrorist" line (what part was that in? It's been almost two years since I've watched the movie) are minor, and that E.T. will still be a great film (and my favorite film), it seems ridiculous that they would do that! I'm for the improved effects, and some added scenes (where E.T. takes a bath, I hear!) though!

: The new Grinch DVD is sporting the teaser for the upcoming re-release of E.T. Among the changes: the G-Men now carry walkie talkies in place of firearms, and a CGI makeover for both E.T. and his ship taking off.

: The "most ridiculous change award" still goes to having poor Dee Wallace Stones fly in and redub the line "You look like a terrorist."

: Let's hope that the DVD expected late next year will include the original version of the film as well as this "Special" edition...and also that Indy never has to succumb to George and Steven's 'whims'.
