The Temple of Doom theme is one of my favorites by John Williams (I don't own the soundtrack, I'm just going by what I hear when the action is at the TOD itselt). It's unfortunate, though, that the tune is placed in the movie so that it conjures up images of hearts being torn out and kiddies being whipped. MAybe Williams should have used that piece of music for the "Trek Across India" portion of the movie.
