I had a chance to see Star Wars 2 this evening and came away undecided. It was better than Phantom, yet had many negatives that I couldn't get past. After a while, what bothered me about it became very clear. There was no magic. Bare with me as I will pertain this to Indy very quickly.

Star Wars and Empire gave us something that most action movies today can't. The "How did they do that" is, I'm afraid, long gone. Models and miniture sets have been replaced by digital layouts. Instead of enhancing scenes, CGI has become the scene. It's sad. I don't have to go to a theatre to watch a cartoon, I can get that on cable.

As for Indy 4, I just hope that technology is used to enhance not replace. I loved the first 3 and felt CGI was used to almost perfection without taking anything away. It is my hope that Indy 4 will hold true to the same.

Thanks for reading.
