Chapter 7
"Wait a minute, we can't go back to your place," Lauren exclaimed, "That's where they got us."
"Do you have any suggestions?"
"As a matter of fact, I do," as she looked around, "Where are we?"
Anthony told her as she smiled and said, "We're only two blocks from there. Come one," tugging his arm.

"Shorty!" Indy exclaimed, "What happened to you?"
"Got attacked, then shot," he quipped.
"What have you gotten yourself into, kid?"
"It's what your daughter got into, Doctor Jones."
"Where's my sister?" Eric asked.
"She's with someone. A man. His name is Brody."
"Brody? Anthony Brody?" Indy asked.
Shorty shrugged as Indy explained quickly, "Medium built, brownish hair, and pale eyes."
"That's him."
"She's with Anthony, Dad, " Michael said, "We can rest easy a bit."
Indy frowned and said, "Actually she's in worse trouble then she was before."

Lauren and Anthony arrived at a flat in London's affleuntial side of town. She turned the key from her pocket and a whiff of stale air came out. Anthony was taken aback as he asked,
"Who's place is this?"
"My mom's," she said, "Actually my grandfather's when he was alive."
"Have you even been here?"
"When I was little," Lauren said turning on the lights and locking the doors, "We used to stay here for family vacations, but then Mom got sick and we'd never set a foot in here after that."
"Why didn't your father sell it?"
"I don't know. Mourning her memory, perhaps. Or he's forgotten about it. The last time we were here was when I was 13."
He touched the fixtures and looked around the place. Lauren opened the curtains to reveal the cityscape of London and she said, "I remember Mom taking me onto the terrace when I had nightmares in the middle of the night. She told me how the stars sang to you."
"Singing stars?" as he raised an eyebrow.
"Mom was a romancist. She saw beauty in everything," her eyes glistening with tears.
"You miss her, don't you?"
Lauren nodded as she moved away from the window. Anthony looked at her and said, "I feel the same way about you."
