Well, I can understand that not everyone likes the idea of battle re-enanactments. I have attended a few without participating actively myself. I always get a detached feeling watching these events. However, I know many people, included a historian, who love the idea of seeing "history come alive". While not being a big fan, I can understand people's fascination with the historic garb, guns, and action [all fans do go to the extreme, right?]. There may be some educational value as well. Are the Indy films more enjoyable because they are fictional [although in a historic context]? I think so. It all comes down to opinions and taste. Fall Guy.
