Possible gear inaccuracies? A couple of things I've always wondered about....

The first is the Alden boot. In the '30's they did not have the technology to produce molded rubber soles with tread. Even in the films it appears that HF's Aldens have been fitted with treadless, pressed leather soles like you would find on a cowboy boot. Maybe Aldens are made that way as well, I don't own a pair so I don't really know. I'm just assuming they're treaded.
The second is the bag. Has anyone else ever noticed that Indy's bag (in Raiders, anyway) seems way too big to be an acctual MKVII? In close up shots it looks like one but in long shots (check the Cairo fight scene) it is much larger. Perhaps it was fabricated by the production, based on an original?
