I agree. I thought the trailers for Mummy 2 and Tomb Raider were CGI overkill. It's as if no one knows how to use the technology yet.

I was watching the new Superman DVD last week and thinking about what a "Golden Age" of special effects movies we had in the late 70's and early 80's. The trade-off now is easily produced effects in place of genuine creativity.

I sincerely HOPE that Indy 4 would be CGI-lite, but then, after watching "Mystery of the Blues" for the first time last night, who knows what Lucas will try to do with Indy!
